Gridbinder · Slitherlink
Slitherlink puzzle book maker for KDP and e-ink
Slitherlink readers want a puzzle with one clean loop and a satisfying finish. If you publish for them, every page has to hold exactly one loop that the clues can force.
Set the levels, the trim size and the number of puzzles. Gridbinder makes the grids, the how-to page, the answer key and a Verification report in one PDF. The free 12-puzzle sample has a watermark and needs no account.

Why the proof matters here
In Slitherlink the clue numbers can fit more than one loop, and a puzzle like that cannot be finished with certainty: the reader draws a valid loop and the answer key shows a different one. Gridbinder searches every grid for a second loop and discards the puzzle if it finds one. A step-by-step solver using rules a person can apply must also finish it, so no page needs a blind guess.
Books end with a Verification report (on unless you switch it off): each puzzle with its level and size, the number of solutions a complete search found, and, for every type with a step-by-step solver, how it finished the puzzle.

How to solve, as printed in the book
Draw one closed loop along the grid lines, with no branches and no crossings.
A number tells how many of the four sides of its cell the loop runs along. Cells without a number can have any count.

Questions
What grid sizes do the Slitherlink levels use?
Easy is 5 x 5, Medium 6 x 6, Hard 7 x 7 and Challenge 9 x 9.
What makes Hard and Challenge harder?
Bigger grids, and Hard and Challenge puzzles may need a one-step what-if check: try a line, follow the forced moves until they contradict. Easy and Medium use direct deductions only.
Will two Slitherlink puzzles in my book ever match?
Each puzzle is seeded from your subscription, the book code, the type, the level and its position. Very small easy grids, such as 5 x 5, have a limited number of possible layouts, so two of those can occasionally match.
