For Amazon KDP publishers and e-ink template sellers
Logic puzzle books with a proof on every page.
Print-ready for KDP, tap-ready for e-ink. Pick the logic puzzle types, the levels and the edition. Gridbinder makes every puzzle, proves it has exactly one solution with no guessing, and builds the whole PDF: title page, how-to pages, puzzles, answer key and a Verification report at the back. (Two-star Star Battle is proved by a complete search only.)
No account needed for the sample. It runs in your browser.

Two new books a week. Make them count.
Since 21 September 2026, KDP lets each account create at most two new titles per book format each week (KDP help). Uploading fifty quick books a month is over, so every title has to be one a reader keeps.
A logic puzzle with two solutions, or one that can only be finished by guessing, is a broken page and a one-star review. Gridbinder never prints a puzzle with two solutions, and the Verification report shows which puzzles a step-by-step solver finished without guessing.
Book ideas: a Masyu and Slitherlink book for people who have done every Sudoku, a progressive Killer Sudoku book, Nonograms for beginners, a mixed logic book as a gift, large print Sudoku for seniors.
- Sudoku, Killer Sudoku, Anti-Knight Sudoku, Kakuro, Nonogram, Slitherlink, Masyu, Nurikabe, Star Battle, Bridges and Number Paths
- Word search with themes (animals, garden, baking, ocean, space, travel and more) as an extra for mixed books
- Easy, Medium, Hard and Challenge where a type has those levels, or a progressive book that starts easy and ends hard
- One large puzzle per page or two, plus a large print mode with bigger type
- KDP trim sizes 6 x 9, 8 x 10, 8.5 x 11 and A4, with the margins KDP asks for
The proof is printed in the book
Every puzzle is generated, then checked twice. A complete search looks for a second solution, and the puzzle is thrown away if it finds one. A step-by-step solver that only uses rules a person can apply has to finish it too, or the puzzle is thrown away (every type except two-star Star Battle).
The Verification report at the back lists every puzzle with its type, level and size, the number of solutions the search found, and how the step-by-step solver finished it. Your readers can see that the book was checked, not just read a promise.
Two-star Star Battle has no step-by-step solver yet, so for those puzzles the complete search is the proof, and the report says so. Word searches are checked so that every listed word appears exactly once.

Tap-ready for e-ink tablets
The same puzzles as a tap-through PDF for writing tablets: a contents page of numbered tiles, one puzzle per page with buttons for Contents and Solution, and a button back from every solution. The page is shaped to the screen, with room for the toolbar where the tablet has one.
Presets for Kindle Scribe (sent with Send to Kindle), reMarkable 2 and Paper Pro, Boox Note Air and Supernote A5 X and Manta. Sell the PDFs on Etsy, Gumroad or Payhip under the same licence, or solve them yourself.
This is a PDF, not a KDP book: Kindle Scribe write-on books in the Kindle Store are not open to self-publishers, and we do not promise them. More about the e-ink edition · Download an e-ink sample PDF

How it works
- 1
Set up the book
Title, pen name, edition (KDP paperback or e-ink tablet), puzzle types, number of puzzles and difficulty.
- 2
Make it
Every puzzle is generated and proved. A puzzle with two solutions never reaches the page, and neither does one that needs a guess (all types except two-star Star Battle).
- 3
Publish
Upload the interior PDF to KDP as your manuscript, or open the e-ink PDF on the tablet. The studio tells you the page count and the settings to choose.
Real pages, straight from the studio
Unedited pages from books made in the studio. Download a free 19-page sample PDF (watermarked) to check the print size.

KDP rules, already applied
No bleed, so the page is the trim size. Top and outside margins of half an inch, page numbers 0.3 inch from the bottom edge. The inside margin grows with the page count, as KDP requires, with an eighth of an inch to spare. Fonts fully embedded, no bookmarks, and a short book gets lined notes pages to reach KDP's 24-page minimum.
Sell under your own name
The subscription includes a commercial licence: sell the books you make on Amazon, Etsy, Gumroad or your own site, in print or as PDF, with no royalties and no credit to us. Read the licence.
Not AI
Gridbinder does not use AI. Puzzles are built by generators and checked by solvers written for each puzzle type.
Private by design
The studio runs in your browser. Your titles, settings and puzzles are never uploaded; our statistics only count free samples, by edition. No account, no password.
Reprint the same book
The same book code and settings make the same puzzles again, for a reprint, a second edition or a fixed typo on the title page.
Fast
In our tests, a 300-puzzle book using all 12 types took 11 to 20 seconds on a desktop PC. Smaller books take less.

Questions
Will KDP accept the PDF?
The interior follows KDP's published requirements for paperbacks without bleed: trim size, minimum margins by page count, embedded fonts and at least 24 pages. Always check the file in KDP's print previewer before you publish, as KDP asks every publisher to do.
Do you make the cover?
No. Gridbinder makes the interior. KDP's free Cover Creator or a design tool works well for the cover; you will need the page count the studio shows you.
Can I sell books I made after I cancel?
Yes. Books you made while subscribed stay licensed for sale. You only need an active subscription to make new books.
What does “exactly one solution, no guessing” mean?
Exactly one solution: a complete computer search looked for a second solution and found none. No guessing: a step-by-step solver that only uses rules a person can apply finished the puzzle. On Hard and Challenge it may use a what-if check (try one value and follow the forced moves until they contradict), never a blind guess. Two-star Star Battle is the one exception: it is proved by the complete search only, and the Verification report says so.
Which puzzle types will I not find in other KDP tools?
When we looked in October 2026, a few other tools had Slitherlink, Nurikabe or Kakuro, and Masyu and Bridges showed up only in a free PowerPoint pack. Star Battle, Number Paths and Anti-Knight Sudoku we did not find in any KDP puzzle generator we looked at. That is what we found, not a promise that nobody else has them.
Can I use the type names in my book title?
We print descriptive names. Number Paths is our name for the puzzle Nikoli calls Numberlink. In a search of public trademark listings in October 2026 we found no live US trademark for puzzle books named Slitherlink, Nurikabe or Masyu; Kakuro and Sudoku appear in some software trademarks, there is a 2024 US application for Killer Sudoku software, and some names are registered in Japan. This is not legal advice. If you sell in Japan, or you are unsure, check a name before you put it in a title.
Are the puzzles really unique?
Each puzzle comes from a seed made of your subscription, the book code, the puzzle type, the level and its position. Different subscribers and different book codes give different puzzles. Very small easy grids, such as a 5 x 5 Slitherlink, have a limited number of possible layouts, so two of those can occasionally match.
Can I make printables for Etsy too?
Yes. The licence covers printed books and digital PDFs that you sell, including on Etsy and Gumroad. You may not resell the puzzles as a puzzle pack for other publishers to republish.
Does it make Kindle Scribe write-on books for KDP?
No. Write-on books in the Kindle Store are not open to self-publishers. The e-ink edition is a PDF that you sell yourself (Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip, your own site) or use; Kindle Scribe owners open it with Send to Kindle and can write on the pages.
Which languages?
The how-to pages and the word search lists are in English. Number and logic puzzles work in any language.
Which browsers work?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer.
