Terms and licence

1. Who we are

Gridbinder is operated by ARLing s. r. o., Ivanská cesta 32E, 821 04 Bratislava, Slovakia, Company ID 56583486, VAT ID SK2122352100 ("we"). Contact: support@arling.sk.

2. The service

Gridbinder is software that runs in your web browser and makes puzzle book interiors and tap-through e-ink editions as PDF files. The puzzles and the PDF are created on your own device. We do not receive or store your books.

3. Plans, payment and cancelling

4. Commercial licence for the books you make

For every book, PDF or printable you make with an active paid plan ("your book"), we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to reproduce, publish, sell and distribute the puzzles, solutions and page layouts in it as part of your own publications.

You may not:

You are responsible for your titles, covers, descriptions and for following the rules of the marketplaces you sell on.

5. Unique puzzles

Your puzzles are made from a seed that combines your subscription, the book code and each puzzle's type, level and position, so other Gridbinder customers do not receive the same puzzles. Puzzles with very small grids have a limited number of possible layouts, so we cannot promise that no one anywhere will ever publish an identical small puzzle.

6. Quality and liability

Every puzzle is checked by a solver and kept only if it has exactly one solution; the Verification report in the book says how each one was checked. The print edition follows the published Amazon KDP interior requirements for paperbacks without bleed. The e-ink edition is a PDF for you to sell or use; it is not a KDP book format, and links work in PDF viewers that support them. Marketplaces decide on their own what they accept, and we do not promise any sales. Please review every book in the marketplace previewer before publishing.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.

7. Fonts

Books use the Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface by the Braille Institute, licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows embedding it in documents you sell.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; changes apply to new billing periods and we will show the date of the last change on this page. Slovak law applies, without depriving consumers of the protection of the law of their country of residence.
